Many countries around the world have similar fairy tales, folklore, and other stories that are passed down from generation to generation. For example, there are hundreds of versions of Cinderella from different areas. Take some time to view the pages in the menu to the left and read some tales from different countries and regions.

- While you browse the next few pages, use your research folder and sticky notes to remember important words and paraphrase interesting facts and other ideas you want to remember.
- Choose one tale from at least two different countries or regions to compare to one another. (For example, Cinder Edna, Cindy Ellen, The Way Meat Loves Salt and Joe Cinders are all very different versions of Cinderella.)
