6Email Delimma
No matter how you go about it, eventually you will need to manage singing up multiple accounts for WEB 2.0 Tools.
1) Google has activated an incredible feature that allows you to create multiple distinct email addresses that all feed back to one parent address!Begin by creating a generic email address (i.e.: ). Once you have access to the email account, assign each student a number. When signing up for an account with the web 2.0 tool, students enter the generic email and their number in this format ehretstudent+. Gmail will ignore every character from the '+' on, so all email will be directed back to the main, generic account.
2) Use any email service to create a generic account that will be easy to remember i.e.:Create one generic account on the web 2.0 tool using this address and provide the account password and login to all students in the class. While this restricts student access to email, it has the down side of having all students share one username and password. You will want to make sure that students understand that they must respect work created by others.
3) Throw-away (5-minute) email addresses. Do a google search for "disposable email".
You will get access to a number of sites. By loading the site in your browser it will spawn a temporary email address that will last roughly 10 minutes. The other downside to this approach is that if a student forgets his or her password a reset cannot be sent.
