Adjectives
An adjective is a word used to describe a noun or pronoun. Adjectives answer the questions What kind? Which one? How many? or How much?
What kind? rare coin
Which one? first try
How many? seven days
How much? no moneyA noun used as an adjective answers the question What kind? or Which one? about a noun that follows it.
What kind? snack food
Which one? ring fingerA proper adjective is a proper noun used as an adjective or an adjective formed from a proper noun (Boston newspaper, Indian curry).
A compound adjective is an adjective made up of more than one word. Some compound adjectives are hyphenated (long-distance operator) and some are combined (household goods).
Many different kinds of pronouns can be used as adjectives when they modify nouns that follow them.

In other words, they serve to modify another term, specifically a noun. The words “which” and “what” are the two interrogative adjectives and are used in interrogative sentences to modify nouns found in the question.

Demonstrative Adjective
The demonstrative adjectives are this, that, these, and those. A demonstrative adjective is used to modify a noun to point out or demonstrate a specific item(s).
Example:
This bag is not mine. That one is mine.

This and that modify singular nouns; whereas, these and those modify plural nouns.Definition: Possesive adjectives are used to show ownership or possession. The possessive adjectives are:

- That's my folder.
* " My" is an adjective which shows that I am the owner of the folder.
Notes:
A possessive adjective is similar or identical to a possessive pronoun; however, it is used as an adjective and modifies a noun or a noun phrase.For example:
- I can't complete my assignment because I don't have the textbook.
* In this sentence, the possessive adjective "my" modifies the noun "assignment". - What is your phone number?
* Here the possessive adjective "your" is used to modify the noun phrase - "phone number"
- The cat chased its ball down the stairs and into the backyard.
* In this sentence, the possessive adjective "its" modifies "ball". -
Compound Adjectives
A compound adjective is an adjective that comprises more than one word. Usually, hyphens are used to link the words together to show that it is one adjective.
Please request a four-foot table.
('Four-foot' is an adjective describing the table. A hyphen is used to link 'four'
and 'foot' to show that it is one adjective.)
